CDE latest intelligent plant using AI technology

At bauma 2019, CDE launched a new intelligent wet processing plant featuring the manufacturer's pioneering next generation technology. The new plant utilises advances in machine learning and the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor and automate previously manual processes, for application in quarries, mines and recycling operations. Enabling the plant to make smart decisions in real time, this latest model can boost productivity by up to 40 percent with a payback period of under six months. (Based on outcome for a beta testing customer in Europe.)

Maximizing value from construction and demolition waste materials

CDE has launched their latest video case study demonstrating how construction, demolition and excavation waste can be re-used in high value construction applications. Filmed in conjunction with The Sheehan Group, a family-run business, specialising in construction and civil engineering, viewers have the opportunity to watch the full process from the removal of waste materials from a construction site, recycling the waste materials by wet processing and to their reuse in a residential construction project.

Turning a landfill into stockpile of value

When most people look at an expanse of construction, demolition and excavation material they see only waste. Andrew Thompson, Director at William Thompson & Son, is able to see things differently -- especially since he introduced a CDE C&D waste recycling plant to his operations. “This material which was once left unused can now be washed, screened and sorted into a range of valuable products.”

Wash plant investment creates value from waste for C.O. Williams in Barbados

Earlier in 2015, CDE commissioned a new wash plant for C.O. Williams to process material from an existing crushing operation at Lear’s Quarry in Barbados. The company operates a 250 tonnes per hour crushing plant processing coral limestone. This produces over 35,000 tonnes of aggregates per month and the company also produces more than 18,000 tonnes of asphalt per year. The existing crushing plant produces a large quantity of minus 6mm material with very high fines content and as a result this material was stockpiled as a waste product on site.

CDE Global recognized for advances in C&D recycling technology

This past spring, the European Quality Association for Recycling (EQAR) held their annual conference in Rotterdam where CDE Global was recognized for recent innovations introduced to their equipment for the recycling of construction, demolition and excavation waste (CD&E waste). The award was given in recognition of the various product innovations launched by CDE Global and first introduced on a recently completed project in Stuttgart, Germany for Feess Erdbau GmbH.
