LEFORT will expand its presence in the scrap metal industry in North America with its recent acquisition. ALJON

Manufacturer of metal recycling equipment, LEFORT, has acquired ALJON, an Iowa-based company specializing in the design and production of balers and crushers for the scrap metal and end-of-life vehicle recycling industry.

The company also produces landfill compactors for the waste industry and assembles the Vammas snow removal equipment. LEFORT and ALJON will combine their know-how to offer an even more comprehensive range of machines and services to recyclers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

LEFORT expands further into North America

This acquisition strengthens LEFORT America, launched in 2014, and further reinforces the Group's position in the U.S. market. With more than USD 40 million in annual revenue and nearly 50 employees, ALJON brings to LEFORT recognized expertise and know-how, an enlarged product range, additional manufacturing capacity, and closer proximity to recycling industry stakeholders.

Alexandre Henkens, CEO of LEFORT, commented: "We are delighted to welcome ALJON to the LEFORT Group. This acquisition marks another important milestone in our growth in North America and the implementation of our strategic plan. I am confident that the combination of our expertise will create exciting opportunities and strengthen our ability to support our customers over the long term with increasingly comprehensive, high-performance solutions tailored to their needs."

This transaction confirms LEFORT's ambition to continue its international growth while consolidating its position among the world's leading providers of recycling equipment.
