Terex Ecotec’s new windrow turner range is designed for large-scale composting operations
The TCT 630 and TCT 580 windrow turners are designed to aerate, condition, and decompose organic material

Terex Ecotec has created a new range of windrow turners for the North American market: the TCT 630 and TCT 580. Designed to optimize large-scale composting operations, both models are engineered for efficiency, reliability, and user-friendly operation.
Features on the TCT 580 windrow turner
The TCT 580 Windrow Turner is built to maximize efficiency in a more versatile, compact form. Engineered with the same latest-generation rotor technology as its larger counterpart, the TCT 580 also efficiently turns windrows without fragmenting contaminants, simplifying further material processing.
Its patented control unit provides consistent and accurate windrow positioning, while the absence of a traditional cabin and ventilation system reduces maintenance requirements. The TCT 580 also has radio-controlled operation and pre-installed work programs to enhance ease of use, providing reliable performance with up to 25 percent fuel savings. An optional comfort cab is available for operators who prefer additional protection and convenience.
Features on the TCT 630 windrow turner
The TCT 630 Windrow Turner is built for the demands of high-capacity composting operations. With its larger drum size of 20.7ft x 55 inches and increased throughput of 6,600 yd³/h, it provides aeration, conditioning, and decomposition of organic material. Its next-generation rotor is specifically designed to lift, aerate, and evenly mix windrows without excessive shredding of contaminants, maintaining material integrity for streamlined downstream processing.
Equipped with a patented control system, the TCT 630 automatically adjusts windrows for optimal positioning, reducing the need for manual intervention. It has a new "Turn-and-Go" functionality that provides semi-autonomous operation, reducing operator workload and improving fuel efficiency by up to 25 percent. Operators can also choose an optional cab for enhanced comfort during extended use.
"In commercial composting, organic waste is arranged in long, narrow piles called windrows, which must be regularly turned to ensure proper aeration, moisture control, and temperature regulation. This process is essential for accelerating decomposition and producing high-quality compost," said Thomas Coulter, sales director at Terex Ecotec. "The TCT 630 and TCT 580 are purpose-built to streamline this process, providing operators with powerful, reliable, and easy-to-use solutions for turning windrows quickly and effectively."
