Electric collection technology the highlight of McNeilus' WasteExpo 2023 booth

McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc. will showcase collection solutions at WasteExpo 2023.

New advancements in electrification, telematics, automation, and other collection technology will be featured in the McNeilus WasteExpo booth.

The Oshkosh zero-emission electric refuse collection vehicle

The Oshkosh fully integrated zero-emission electric refuse collection vehicle will be at McNeilus' booth. The vehicle is built with many different driver-centric features, including active safety systems, a 5-star direct visibility rating, a 360-degree camera, object detection, streamlined controls with a 15-inch touchscreen display and a roomier cab. The truck was first introduced earlier in 2023.

The McNeilus Meridian front loader with Latitude collection system

The McNeilus Meridian front loader with Latitude residential collection system will also be at the show. Reinforcements to specific body components of the loader and updated hydraulics provide performance and efficiency upgrades. The Latitude residential collection system features a quick disconnect and a load stabilizer. When combined with a Perkins automated carry can, the loader has a 400-pound lift capacity and a 4.2-yard hopper.

McNeilus' electric power takeoff technology

McNeilus ePTO (electric power takeoff) technology, featured on the company's Extra Compaction rear loader, showcases a self-contained system dedicated to powering body functions for consistent performance, no matter the electric chassis brand. Common component placement, most notably with the high-voltage disconnect, and consistent service parts across product models work to streamline maintenance and training.

McNeilus ePTO technology meets zero-emission regulations and, for added sustainability, the ePTO rear loader featured in the McNeilus booth is made with SSAB fossil-free steel.

WasteExpo attendees will also get a look at McNeilus' CartSeeker curbside automation technology and ClearSky, a telematics system, through multiple interactive displays in its booth. 

McNeilus will have 14 truck bodies on display and featured in partner booths throughout the exhibit hall.

WasteExpo 2023 will take place May 1 to 4 in New Orleans. McNeilus is at booth #2429.
