The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) and JASON Learning have partnered to announce their annual recycling video and poster contest aimed to build awareness about the value of recycling, and the essential benefits of the industry. The theme for this year's contest is "Recycling for Sustainability: Making A Difference to Our Climate."

Students are asked to create a public service announcement that raises awareness around recycling, how recycling can reduce the impact of climate change in their local community, and ensuring earth's resources are available for future generations. Participants will explore the relationship between recycling and climate change and show how recycling is the first step in making a difference.

"Equipping tomorrow's workforce of recycling industry professionals begins today," said Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. "This contest provides us with an opportunity to not only engage students in thinking of the recycling industry as a future career path, but also understanding the numerous ways recycling keeps our environment and its vital natural resources protected and preserved for future generations."

Entries must be submitted by Friday, December 17, 2021. The grand prize winners will receive a trip to Las Vegas with a parent or guardian to participate in ISRI's 2022 Annual Convention and Exposition. This marks the eighth year ISRI and JASON Learning have teamed up on an art contest.
