In 2010 Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) announced the newest addition to their line of indoor recycling receptacles. According to RCP, Element Indoor Recycling Stations are designed to provide stylish, centralized collection for sorting multi-stream waste and recycling, and will help those faced with the task of meeting increasing sustainability regulations while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing solution to their recycling program needs.
These units feature rounded edges and graceful lines, use a Uni-Koat powder coated finish, resist scratches and fingerprints and are designed to make cleaning easy. Factory installed labelling and custom colours are available, and units come in one, two, three, or four waste stream configurations. In its four-stream configuration, units can hold up to 57 gallons of waste and recyclable materials.
Key features include: standard, leak-proof rigid plastic liners; a combination of restrictively shaped openings and word labels that provide visual cues for the end-user and help minimize waste stream contamination; front, piano-hinged doors; and comfortable rounded and recessed hand grips.
Options include fire-safe, heavy-gauge galvanized steel liners, and an optional lock. Element Indoor Recycling Stations exceed EPA guidelines for recommended post-consumer recycled content, and are fully recyclable at the end of their usable life.
