Automated truck scale systems function unattended

Ideal for waste and recycling facilities looking to find ways to process trucks quicker and reduce costs, these automated truck scale systems, developed by Fairbanks Access Solutions, are designed to function as unattended entry stations. This technology will relieve congestion and pressure at entry and exit stations, processes trucks very quickly, results in reduced labour costs and provides the potential for extended hours of operation and increased operating efficiency. Haulers also benefit as their waiting times are decreased.

These entry stations come standard with an easy-to-read computer display and audio instructions – a primary reason why units can process a weighing transaction in less than 30 seconds. When RFID technologies are used, trucks can be processed in less than 15 seconds. Fairbanks Access Solutions’ MatreX software was designed to integrate and complement a facilities’ existing software in the scale house, includes real-time reporting and models are available for either cash-based or cashless entry stations. Fast credit card processing is available in both models, and facilities can add a revenue stream to their operation by processing commercial trucks for cash payment, credit card payment or pre-paid accounts. Security cameras can also be added to take snapshots of vehicles and store the pictures with the transactions. Remote diagnostics and monitoring are also available.
