At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, this week, Peterbilt Motors Company is giving attendees the first look at the all-electric medium duty Model 220EV.
Peterbiltexhibited its latest innovations for the refuse and recycling market at Waste Expo this week from April 24-26. The refuse lineup, including the Models 220, 520 and 567 as well as an advanced Model 520 Demonstration Vehicle with a fully electric drivetrain were on display from Tuesday through Thursday.
At Waste Expo 2017 in May, Peterbilt displayed a Model 520 refuse truck demo with an advanced battery-electric drive system.
Peterbilt has added the new PACCAR 20,000- and 22,000-lb. wide track steer axles to its vocational lineup. The PACCAR steer axle is available with standard front air disc brakes or optional drum brakes as well as suspensions and wheel end options to meet the most demanding jobs. Both axle ratings will be available in the Models 567, 520, 389, 367, 365, 348 and the 389 glider kit.
Peterbilt has introduced three new cab configurations for the rugged Model 520. The innovative vocational model is now available in Left-Hand Drive, Right-Hand Drive and Right-Hand Stand-Up Drive in addition to the existing Dual Seated Drive configuration, the company announced. Peterbilt introduced the Model 520 in the Dual Seated Drive configuration in 2016 providing drivers the ability to operate the vehicle from either the left or right position to optimize ergonomics, efficiency and safety.
