This week, the American Journal of Infection Control published a paper coauthored by National Waste and Recycling Association's (NWRA) Vice-President for Technical and Regulatory Affairs, Anne Germain entitled "A Pilot Survery of the US Medical Waste Industry to Determine Training Needs for Safely Handling Highly Infectious Waste." She was joined by Hal Miller and Richard Thompson, members of NWRA's Healthcare Waste Institute (HWI) as well its chair, Selin Hoboy.

NWRA hands out awards to innovative recycling leaders

AMP Robotics was recognized for its innovative AI and robotic sorting system.

The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) recognized innovators and leaders in its industry at the annual Executive Leadership Round Table (ELRT). Six awards were given to companies that have made substantial contributions to the American recycling through partnerships, public education, innovations in recycling equipment, and innovations in recycling facilities. Winners were selected by a panel of judges who are professionals in the waste and recycling industry as well as from other technology and education organizations.
