Maple Reinders

One of Maple Reinders' most recent construction projects, the High Solids Anaerobic Digestion Facility in Edmonton, Alberta, will make a positive impact on the environment and will contribute to the City's goal of diverting 90 percent of waste from landfill. Based on the project, Maple Reinders has won the 2018 Canadian Construction Association (CCA) Environmental Achievement Award for the project, and for success in implementing environmentally-sound practices, and communicating sustainable approaches as viable options.

Maple Reinders is the proud recipient of a Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP) National Award for Innovation & Excellence. The City of Calgary Compost Facility, delivered by Chinook Resource Management Group, a special purpose company of which Maple Reinders PPP Ltd. is a partner, won the Silver Award for Infrastructure. Awards were announced at the annual CCPPP National Conference on November 6, 2017 in Toronto, Ontario. 

MISSISSAUGA, ON - Maple Reinders announced that on June 29^th, the Chinook Resource Management Group, a special purpose company of which Maple Reinders PPP Ltd. is a partner, achieved substantial completion on time and on budget for the City of Calgary's Source Separated Organics (SSO) and Class A Biosolids in-vessel composting facility. This project was delivered under a DBFOM* Public-Private Partnership (P3) model. In addition to being the first composting facility to be delivered under the P3 model in Canada, it is also the largest of its kind in North America, demonstrating the City of Calgary's commitment to sustainability and the diversion of renewable resources from landfill disposal.

One-third of Hamilton, Ontario’s total residential waste stream has found a new home, thanks to the recent opening of the City’s in-vessel composting facility. The facility, designed to process 60,000 tonnes of source-separated residential organics annually, also has the additional capability to handle the equivalent of an additional 30,000 tonnes during peak periods.
