Stellex Capital Management to sell Morbark to Alamo Group

Stellex Capital Management, a middle market private equity firm, has announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell Morbark, LLC,  the manufacturer of high-performance equipment and after-market parts for the forestry, recycling, tree care, sawmill, land clearing and biomass markets, to Alamo Group for $352 million. The sale includes all assets and operations of Morbark and its affiliate brands. 

Morbark completes acquisition of DENIS CIMAF

Morbark, LLC has completed the acquisition of DENIS CIMAF, Inc., based in Roxton Falls, Québec. This transaction represents the company's second acquisition since private equity firm Stellex Capital Management LP acquired Morbark in 2016. The acquisition of Rayco Manufacturing in October 2017, brought a lineup of innovative equipment into the Morbark family across multiple product categories. In particular, Rayco stump cutters, aerial trimmers, forestry mulchers and crawler trucks. The purchase of DENIS CIMAF is another step in the Company's strategic focus on broadening the range of tree care and industrial equipment, aftermarket parts, and service offered to their Customers.

Morbark appoints David Herr new CEO

Morbark, a leading manufacturer of equipment used in forestry, recycling, tree care, landscaping, sawmill and biomass markets, has announced the appointment of David Herr as Chief Executive Officer. In addition to being an active member of the current Morbark Board, he brings extensive knowledge from experience with both products and services companies. He replaces Dan Ruskin, who resigned due to health issues.
