540-hp tub grinder

The TG5000 tub grinder features the option of a 540-hp (402-kW) or 440-hp (328-kW) Tier 3 power plant. A 5-foot tub opening allows for easy loading while the bottom of the tub flares outward from the tub wall reducing bridging and allowing steady feeding of material. The unit also features the Vermeer Duplex Drum, a single continuous flow 36-inch (91-cm) discharge V-cleat belt, and an optional cab and loader. Other available options include a mechanical or air-ride suspension, and wheel assemblies with steel hub piloted duals or aluminum super singles, providing 11 inches (28 cm) of ground clearance.
