DH 608 precision wood chipper processes soft and hard woods
The DH 608 wood chipper will process trunk diameters of up to 23.6 inches of soft wood and up to 18.9 inches of hard wood. The machine is mounted on a double central axle trailer chassis, with a revolving superstructure supported by a slewing ring and a wing angle that amounts to 270 degrees. The DH 608 is powered with a low-consumption Mercedes OM 460LA six-cylinder engine and 490 hp, and features a load-dependent feed system consisting of chain floor and in-feed roller. A solid steel chipping chamber for safety and protection and knives can be easily adjusted with a gauge on the outside of the machine, and all machine controls are centralized in an easy-to-operate control panel. The DH 608 comes with a remote control with two transmitters, one for an operator on the loader to control the main functions of the machine, and a second for a truck driver to independently turn and adjust the material discharge blower for fast and effortless truck loading. The production capacity of the DH 608 is approximately 130 to 200 cubic yards and high quality chips can be adjusted in size with interchangeable screening segments.
