AAF International, a world-leader in air pollution control products, announces the DuraShield cartridge filter. The material used in the DuraShield cartridge filter is a proprietary high-strength, polyester-reinforced media with a fluorocarbon meltblown outer surface layer that allows AAF to offer an industry-leading, high-efficiency minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) 15 for this type of cartridge filter. The AAF Research and Development Group designed DuraShield as a surface-loading media which achieves optimum particulate release during pulse cleaning. Synthetic fibres used throughout DuraShield media will not disintegrate, unlike some surface-bonded media, and it can withstand the rigours of repeated pulse-cleaning cycles. These outstanding features are coupled with low initial pressure drop and high moisture resistance to set a new benchmark for cartridge filters.
