Material sensor for telescoping conveyors

Designed for use with automated telescoping conveyors that need a material flow switch, the Sonicscout material sensor emits sound waves and measures the time of the return echo. Built-in electronics in the sensor accurately calculate the distance from any material on the conveyor belt, and a switch output sends a signal to a PLC processor, where the automation program goes into pause mode when the belt is empty. When the material returns to the belt, the automation program resumes. The Sonicscout Material Sensor bracket is designed to be mounted on any CEMA rated idler. The Sonicscout Material Sensor includes no moving of wear parts, less maintenance, no cleaning, and dust does not affect the sensor.
