Third generation handheld XRF analyzers launched
The handheld NITON XL3 800 Series Alloy Analyzers are engineered to provide extremely fast alloy grade identification and laboratory-quality composition analysis of metal alloys. Typical time for routine positive grade identification is less than two seconds – as much as five times faster than the company’s previous generation of instruments.

The NITON XL3 features a 50 kilovolt, two-watt x-ray tube as well as advanced electronics, and is available in a range of configura-tions and with an assortment of optional features and accessories. In scrap applications, the XL3’s increased testing speed, along with the tilting colour display enable the user to increase sorting volume as much as tenfold.
