B o t h t h e MPH362-2 and MPH364-2 models of BOMAG’s 79-inch rotor width asphalt re-cycler / soil stabilizers have been repowered with a six-cylinder, electronically-controlled 360-hp Cummins QSM11 water-cooled diesel engine, which is Tier 3 Stage III, EPA certified. Both models are available with one of three rotor configurations, including an asphalt recycler rotor designed to cut, pulverize and mix old and deteriorated asphalt pavement for reuse as road base material. Each rotor – recycling or stabilizing – is 79 inches wide and offers rotor speeds of 135 and 150 revolutions per minute. The recy-cler rotor features 168 bullet-shaped cutting teeth, which are strategically positioned for uniform material pulverizing, sizing and mixing with minimum vibration and shock load to the rotor and drive components.
