Walking Floor bins to improve MRF efficiency

Designed to improve efficiencies in the MRF environment with Walking Floor technology, and for custom-engineering to match plant designs, Walking Floor bins provide multiple options for storing, routing and sorting incoming material. From the tipping floor to sort bins, these bins automate the conveying process, freeing loading equipment to operate elsewhere in the MRF, or even allowing for the reduction in the rolling stock fleet.
Conveying speeds can be regulated, enabling the Walking Floor systems to easily integrate with existing equipment. Systems also gently meter material forward, reducing the chance of overloading the take-away conveyor.
After removing recyclables from the waste stream, they can be collected in Walking Floor sort bins located below the picking line. Bins easily store and unload tons of material where it is delivered to a baler or other processing equipment. Walking Floor technology is a hydraulically driven, moving fl oor conveyor. Floor slats extend the length of the bin. While in motion, the slats convey the material. Mobile systems are also available to transport and automatically unload materials.
