Tracked Wood Hog
The 4600XL Track Wood Hog’s hammermill is 14 percent larger than its predecessor, increasing the tip swing to 36 inches, and units include power options up to 860 hp. A new infeed extension folds flat to assist with the processing of longer tree length material and folds up for better containment in regrind applications. Units use a standard Cat 325L undercarriage, providing for optimal low ground pressures, reduced ground disturbance, and increased stability with less damage to property.
The Iqan Feed System, uniquely programmed to Morbark machines and standard on the 4600XL Track Hog, boosts production by providing a consistent feed and substantially minimizing downtime, as well a wireless link between the factory and machine. Additionally, drive line protection against damage from contaminates is provided through a Twin Disc Hydraulic Fluid clutch with a Brunel full-break-away Torque Limiter or a PT Tech HPTO System with integral torque protection.
