Rotating pulverizers
Full 360 degree rotation
These rotating pulverizers, built by the Dutch company Demarec (recently merged with Kinshofer - see page 20) are designed for both primary and secondary demolition applications. Units will demolish and then further break up materials, and a pivoting ring allows these units to revolve fully 360 degrees to the left or right.
The upper jaw on these rotating pulverizers has a ground tooth plate that has two front teeth which ensure outstanding penetration into concrete. The front teeth go between the shrouds in the lower jaw, so the reinforcing steel is always separated optimally from the concrete.
Some other key features include: extremely fast cycle times (jaws can open and close in five seconds); high power to weight ratios; twin rotation motors and filtres; and exchangeable wear parts.
Three models are available for carriers from 22 to 65 tons, with closing forces of between 90 and 140 tons and jaw openings of 900 mm to 1,200 mm.
