CARI partners with GRSO to offer discounted RIOS management training
The program assists recyclers across all commodities to improve environmental and health and safety performance
With CARI's 85th Annual Convention taking place from June 8 to 10 at the Gatineau, Quebec, Hilton LAC-LEAMY, this year's theme — Forging Connections — will be reinforced by bringing together recycling professionals from across Canada, the U.S., and abroad. As part of the show's dedication to creating new opportunities for its members, a collaborative partnership with the GRSO team will offer the Recycling Industry Operating Standard (RIOS) Management System and Certification (The Recycling Industry Operating Standard) to CARI-recognized recyclers at a reduced membership rate.
RIOS integrates the key operational elements of a management system to bring quality, environmental, and health and safety training modules into one unified system.
"This partnership between RIOS and CARI will encourage certification and best practices for recyclers — bringing even more visibility to those who strive to be the best in class for Canada, while also helping to streamline emerging compliance, reduce incidents and employee turnover, and save valuable resources year after year," states Shannon Fertitta, executive director of GRSO.
