UNTHA shredding technology America, Inc. has shared several appointments as the business continues to grow and expand its presence across North America following the appointment of its newest Vice President of Sales, Luis Martins, in 2025.

The strategic hires come at a pivotal time for the business, as it invests in regional growth, responds to evolving legislation, and strengthens its market position.

Charlotte Fischer joins UNTHA as sales manager

Bolstering the sales team is Sales Manager Charlotte Fischer. Based in California, Charlotte will focus on business development across the western United States — a largely untapped territory for UNTHA America — driving brand awareness and identifying new project opportunities

With 16 years of experience in the waste, recycling, and plastics sectors, Charlotte brings a strong background in commodities, raw material sourcing, and solution-led sales. Her career began selling off-spec resins before evolving into broader roles encompassing material marketing, customer development, and equipment solutions.

Most recently, Charlotte held a business development position at Viably, working on stationary construction and demolition waste projects across the U.S. and Canada. Before that, she worked with optical sorting specialist Steinert, further strengthening her understanding of advanced recycling systems.

In her new role, Charlotte will focus on helping customers specify the right equipment for their operations, drawing on her deep understanding of input materials and processing requirements.

Charlotte commented, "The West Coast is a huge opportunity for UNTHA. It's an untapped market for the brand, and with new legislation coming into force across the region, we're seeing increasing demand for better recycling infrastructure."

"I've always known UNTHA as a premium shredder manufacturer, so I'm excited to build awareness, bring in new customers, and support more complex applications across a wider range of materials."

Mark Williams expands sales services across North America

The next appointment is Sales Manager Mark Williams, who returned to UNTHA America in March and now oversees a diverse territory spanning the Southeast and Central United States, reaching as far north as the Canadian border.

Mark has more than 20 years of industry experience, having started his career in the cement manufacturing sector before moving into alternative fuels and shredding applications. A former UNTHA customer, he later joined the business and now rejoins the team, bringing valuable perspective from both customer and market-facing roles.

In his role, Mark is responsible for developing both new and existing customer relationships, promoting the full UNTHA portfolio, and supporting major accounts. His immediate focus aligns closely with customers' operational needs, ensuring they have the right equipment, service support, and processing solutions in place.

Mark noted, "This is a massive market, and there's still a lot of education needed. Many customers know they have a problem, but they don't always know the right solution — that's where we come in."

"For me, it's about being honest, building relationships, and making sure we're delivering the right outcome, not just selling a machine. That's what creates long-term success."

Sustained business growth across North America

These appointments follow closely behind the arrival of Luis Martins, a well-known and respected figure in the waste and recycling industry. His leadership as vice president of sales is helping to shape UNTHA America's next phase of growth and innovation, drawing on extensive experience in strategic planning, AI-driven recycling technologies, and complex waste applications.

Commenting on the trio of appointments, UNTHA America President Bernhard Martinz said:

"These hires mark an important step in our growth journey. Charlotte and Mark both bring deep industry expertise, strong networks, and a genuine commitment to delivering solutions for customers."

"Together with Luis, we are building a team that is well-positioned to expand our presence across North America and support customers in an increasingly complex and evolving market."

Luis Martins added, "Our focus is on delivering value beyond the machine. Charlotte's understanding of materials and emerging legislation, combined with Mark's customer relationships and application experience, gives us a powerful platform for growth."

The expansion comes as UNTHA America navigates a changing market landscape. Increasing legislation — particularly around recycling targets and Extended Producer Responsibility — is driving demand for advanced processing equipment.

Alongside strengthening its team, the company is continuing to invest in its North American infrastructure, including enhancements to its digital platforms, service capabilities, and parts availability, to better support customers and deliver responsive, localized support. Together, these initiatives position UNTHA America for continued growth and closer alignment with its customers' evolving requirements.
