A Kleemann crusher being used by Ramco in southern California is showing its flexibility and performance in the recycling of aggregates for construction use.

Ramco crushes concrete and asphalt at its work site and at customer sites, where it processes materials for contractors, governments, local authorities, homeowners, and the film industry. Crushing is done using a MOBIREX MR 130i EVO2 impact crusher from Kleemann, which reduces material from a feed size of around 500 mm down to approximately 25 mm.

The MR 130i EVO2 achieves high throughput rates and product quality. The machine is readily available for use thanks to short setup times before startup and maintenance. It is also easy to transport, giving the operation the flexibility to work wherever the customer requires it.

"Working with the Kleemann machine is fantastic. It has numerous excellent functions. If we have to process large volumes, we take the MR 130i EVO2 to the customer and crush on site," explains Dallas Jones, Ramco Vice President of Operations.

The MR 130i EVO2 uses a diesel direct drive that provides a high output combined with low fuel consumption. To prevent narrowing of the material flow, the plant's system widths are increased in the material flow direction for all components. This prevents material bridging and increases productivity. The CFS (Continuous Feed System) controls the frequency of the vibrating feeder and prescreen, depending on the crusher feed. This reduces work for the operator, as the machine controls material flow automatically and guarantees the best possible loading of the crusher.

The SPECTIVE operating concept on Kleemann crushers is easy to learn and use. Kleemann

Kleemann's SPECTIVE operating concept allows control of the machine through a 12-inch touch panel. Clear operating instructions and pictographs help users find the correct setting for each task quickly and precisely, reducing operating errors and improving safety for users. Important functions, such as the crusher gap adjustment, are simple to execute and fully hydraulic.

"SPECTIVE is very simple. Operation does not require a lot of experience," explains Darrel Burroughs, operator at RAMCO. "Overall, the Kleemann MR 130i EVO2 impact crusher is extremely user-friendly and easy to handle."
