Metro Compactor Service has acquired Compaction Plus, a provider of waste handling equipment in Ontario.

The purchase of Compaction Plus will boost Metro's rental fleet allowing it to meet growing demand through a wider selection of equipment. The new, larger fleet can also incorporate Metro's iSmart technology and Super Service, offering users access to proactive maintenance through the entire equipment lifecycle.

Metro will continue to provide its full range of waste services (chutes, waste equipment, maintenance, and IoT monitoring) to the commercial, high-rise, and multi-residential markets.

"Today's announcement give us renewed strength in the industrial space and helps us scale our business to serve the growth in recurring rentals," says Andrew Strudwicke, president of Metro Compactor Service. "This acquisition also reinforces our commitment to helping customers maintain their equipment lifecycle at optimal cost."

"Metro is focused on fostering a mentality of proactive maintenance in the waste management industry, which in turn yields several benefits for our clients," says Strudwicke. "This includes reduced service calls, reduced downtime, cost-effective repairs, and access to our team of highly qualified, expert technicians in the GTA and Ontario."
