ISRI to highlight how recycled materials affect our daily life for America Recycles Day
ISRI is marking America Recycles Day by celebrating the major impact recycled materials have on our daily lives while helping make supply chains more sustainable. To tell this story, ISRI has also developed a video that shows how recycled materials are so important to our life.
"Recycling is a daily win for our sustainable supply chain, environment, and our future," says ISRI President Robin Wiener. "If you pause and think, it's easy to see benefits from recycled materials – in everything from farms to hospitals, schools, to highways constructed or supplied with things made from recycled materials like metals, plastics, rubber, and paper."
The recycled materials industry is innovating and working to recycle even more materials.
"Every new manufactured product made from recycled materials makes the supply chain more secure by providing a renewable source of raw materials," Wiener says. "That's why we are also partnering with consumer brands and other manufacturers to help them recycle more, use more recycled materials in their products and design their products to be recycled more easily."
From steel, aluminum, and copper to recycled electronics, plastics, and paper, the recycled materials industry plays a critical role in our supply chains that deliver what we need each and every day.
