Responding to the wishes of its membership and Board of Directors, the C&D Recycling Association will go forward with its Annual Meeting, C&D World 2021, March 21-23 in Austin, TX, albeit by following all recommended CDC guidelines.
To accommodate those attendees not quite ready to travel, a virtual option will be offered to stream the event's educational sessions.
C&D World, the only event focused on the C&D industry, has long been known as the gathering place for the industry because of the excellent networking opportunities. That will still happen, but for 2021 the exhibit hall will be spread out and any adjacent booths will not face each other. The separate single room used for sessions is large, allowing for maximum distance between participants. Sanitary measures will include numerous hand cleansing stations, food and beverage dispensed in individual containers, and electrostatic germ cleaning equipment.
An economic forecast in the time of COVID is planned, as well as end markets discussions, working to get government grants, and other useful sessions.

How to streamline C&D waste processing to increase profitability
For C&D recyclers, waste haulers, demolition contractors and landfills, there is a growing opportunity to profit from rethinking processes. Although every operation is different, by streamlining the front end of the C&D operation processes with purpose-built technologies, recyclers can tap into new end markets, accommodate higher material volumes, stay ahead of regulatory restrictions, increase recovery rates and add commodity revenue, while decreasing labor and other costs.
