WENDT unveils new showroom as part of growth strategy
Now located at the company's headquarters in Buffalo, NY, the showroom is an evolution of WENDT's Technology Center.
The new showroom, part of WENDT's continued growth strategy, will continue to act as a key resource for customers to do material sampling, prove a business case and gain hands-on training from WENDT's service technicians. The showroom also offers the new ability to continuously feature the latest technology and equipment available.
Currently, the showroom is equipped with a ferrous dirt separator, an eddy current, a WENDT/TOMRA FINDER 4 and the new TOMRA X-TRACT X6 FINES. The TOMRA X6 is an x-ray-based solution that can separate magnesium from aluminum in products such as Zorba and Twitch, opening the door to trading low magnesium Twitch on domestic markets. The system utilizes existing TOMRA XRT technology, but in a new configuration. This configuration's capabilities sort material of different density levels and separates magnesium from aluminum to create furnace ready products.
With the showroom now operational, customers are encouraged to send Gaylord box samples that are representative of their own material. Materials will be tested, analyzed and customers will be provided with a full report of data-driven recommendations for an equipment solution, providing customers with the information necessary to make purchasing decisions that are quantified and justified.
President Tom Wendt said, "This showroom will act as a valuable resource to our customers as we continuously circulate in the latest technology. Customers can utilize the showroom by sampling their own material and receiving thoughtful recommendations based off the analysis of that material. We are taking great strides in limiting our customers risk and providing solutions that are appropriate to each individual customer."
WENDT's showroom will be expanding with additional equipment in the months to come. Wendt adds, "There is a lot to look forward to as more equipment gets added to our showroom floor later this winter and in early spring. We are excited for our customers to share in our growth."

Single-Ram and II-Ram High-Capacity Balers
At Machinex, we've been designing sorting systems for over 35 years, so we know how essential it is for MRF operators to have a baler they can trust and not worry about its operational reliability. This is why we design and manufacture reliable single-ram and II-ram high-capacity balers to specifically help optimize their operations.
Watch the video of our expert who presents the main features of Machinex balers delivering these important benefits:
- Easy & accessible maintenance
- Reduced maintenance & bale handling costs
- Energy savings
- Optimal bale density
For C&D recyclers, waste haulers, demolition contractors and landfills, there is a growing opportunity to profit from rethinking processes. Although every operation is different, by streamlining the front end of the C&D operation processes with purpose-built technologies, recyclers can tap into new end markets, accommodate higher material volumes, stay ahead of regulatory restrictions, increase recovery rates and add commodity revenue, while decreasing labor and other costs.
