Eggersmann Plant Engineering acquires BRT Recycling Technologie GmbH
BRT Recycling Technologie GmbH, an international engineering specialist in waste sorting and recycling technology, based in Ibbenbüren, Germany, is to be integrated into the Germany-based Eggersmann Group. As a specialist in waste sorting and recycling equipment, with an export share of over 85%, Eggersmann says BRT is a perfect fit with the international outlook of Eggersmann Plant Engineering. BRT's site in Ibbenbüren will be maintained and the products, which already complement many projects of Eggersmann Plant Engineering worldwide, together with the BRT employees, will provide a meaningful expansion of the portfolio of services.
The BRT brand will also remain unchanged, as BRT products such as the SCHLITZ-O-MAT ( a Bag Opener designed to open and empty bags with all kinds of waste and recyclables) and the DOS-O-MAT (feed and metering hoppers) enjoy high popularity around the world.
The acquisition resulted as a logical progression after many years of partnership between BRT and Eggersmann, providing environmental waste management together in many countries of the world. Eggersmann says that "through the synergies arising out of a common presence, long term strategic advantages can be realised in the market."
