EvoQuip made an impact on the US market with a successful Open Event on November 8th 2018. Over 100 dealers and new and existing customers made the trip to Cave City, Kentucky to see live working demonstrations of the compact crushing and screening range.

A customer of Powerscreen Crushing and Screening for five years, Park City Stone was the ideal site to showcase the world class equipment. Park City Stone is growing year on year and prides itself on being local and supplying to the small contractor and local community.

Commenting on the success of the open day, Matt Dickson, EvoQuip Global Product Line Director said: "We had a fantastic launch event to the US market and I'd like to thank everyone who came by. The show was a huge success and we built on and created some valuable relationships. A special thanks to Chad Crabtree for allowing is to use his site and for all his help leading up to and during the open event. I'd also like to thank Powerscreen Crushing and Screening who have been instrumental in the planning and execution of this event."

Machines on demo were the Cobra 230R impact crusher, Colt 1000 scalping screen and Cobra 290 impact crusher. The Bison 280 Jaw crusher was also on static display. EvoQuip says they provide a compact and versatile solution that does not compromise on throughput, and which can operate in the most demanding of applications including Reinforced Concrete, Recycled Asphalt, Construction and Demolition waste, Coal and Natural Rock.

Cobra 230R Impact Crusher
The Cobra 230R builds on the success of the Cobra 230. It is a closed circuit version which incorporates a 2.44m x 1.2m (8' x 4') post screen that ensures the required product specification is achieved with oversize material either being recirculated back to the crusher or stockpiled. The ability to quickly detach the complete afterscreen system including the oversize conveyor, provides the option of either running the machine in standard mode or transporting it separately.

Cobra 290 Impact Crusher
With throughput potential of up to 290tph, the Cobra 290 has quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the compact crushing sector. It provides class leading productivity, unmatched versatility and excellent fuel efficiency. The quick set up times, simple intuitive operation and ease of transport makes this machine an ideal solution for all applications.

Features include: Patented hydraulic overload protection system, two independent hydraulic controlled aprons, excellent clearance from the rotor to the belt; the short distance from the crusher outlet to the magnet, and the ability to hydraulically raise and lower the conveyor all ensure optimal material flow through the machine and optional vibrating underpan feeder, which offers complete belt protection in heavy duty recycling applications.

Colt 1000 Scalping Screen
This latest addition to the EvoQuip scalping screen range is the Colt 1000. This highly adaptable scalping screen is able to operate in both heavy duty and precision screening applications and will manage the most difficult of materials.
Featuring an aggressive 4.1m (13'6") x 1.22m (4') double deck screen, variable screening angle with numerous screen media options, broad fines conveyor, quick set up time and excellent discharge heights ensures the Colt 1000 distinguishes itself amongst its competition.

T-Link Telematics System
A number of EvoQuip models can be fitted with the T-Link telemetry system which provides the customer with real time information on the performance of their machine. Telematics maximises uptime, parts and service availability and provides factual up to date information from the field.

More from C&D Recycling

Recycled aggregates for roads

Municipalities are responsible for the care and maintenance of vast amounts of roads, from lanes to highways. When those roads are repaired or replaced, there's the potential to generate a significant amount of aggregate material - concrete and asphalt removed from the surface that must be dealt with.
Today's roadbuilding contractors are taking this material and recycling it more than ever before. However, research is showing that some municipalities are far better than others when it comes to using this type of aggregate in their roads - and some are far behind.

LEED changes a boost for C&D

Construction and demolition (C&D) materials are hefty. It is why we can so effectively build roads, bridges and buildings out of them. It's also why, by weight, they are the most significant material in the North American waste stream. This creates a challenge for recycling, as it's usually too expensive, in terms of ROI, to ship most recovered C&D end products, including wood, concrete, drywall, asphalt, and asphalt shingles.

Rubicon Global and State Farm Arena divert nearly 12 tons of waste from landfills

Rubicon Global, the Atlanta-based technology company that provides waste, recycling and smart city solutions to businesses and governments worldwide, has successfully diverted nearly 12 tons of waste destined for landfills from State Farm Arena during last week's festivities in Atlanta, Georgia. This waste was generated as a result of five events being held at the State Farm Arena leading up to and in support of the ‘Big Game.'

Ecowaste Industries to add to C&D materials transfer and MRF capacity

Ecowaste Industries operates the Ecowaste Landfill in Richmond, B.C. where they accept inert refuse, mainly from construction and demolition activities. This material is renewed into products such as compost, bark mulch and crushed concrete for sale. At the end of 2018, Ecowaste Industries Ltd. acquired the operating assets and facilities of Urban Wood Recycling and Smithers Enterprises, both based in Vancouver.  The transaction was approved by both parties on November 21, 2018 and the sale closed on December 31, 2018. Since the start of the year, Ecowaste has been accepting Urban and Smithers customers at the Ecowaste Landfill in Richmond.

New sidewall protection for OTR tires designed for concrete and aggregates recycling

At concrete and aggregate recycling sites, recycled aggregate is produced by crushing concrete and asphalt to reuse the aggregate in the construction industry as a base for roads or building foundations.  To keep operations running site managers rely on loaders to push large jagged chunks of torn up sidewalk, roadway or building materials - which can contain steel rebar - to the crushing line to reduce its size.

Cat multi-processors feature quick-change jaws, greater cutting/crushing forces, increased speed, durable design

Three new Cat MP332, MP345 and MP365 Multi-Processor models are heavy-duty, high-production tools that accept multiple interchangeable jaws for taking on a variety of specialized demolition tasks. The new models, compared with previous models, can cycle 50 percent faster and generate up to 19 percent greater cutting/crushing forces. An innovative locking system enables a single operator to typically change jaw types in 15 minutes or less, using only standard hand tools. An included stand securely and stably holds unused jaw sets.

  • Concrete Cutter: outer jaw cracks concrete, inner jaw shears steel
  • Demolition: cracks thick concrete structures
  • Pulverizer: crushes concrete, separates rebar
  • Shear: cuts structural steel, pipe, cable
  • Tank Shear: cleanly cuts tanks or plate steel at right angle on three sides
  • Universal: cuts steel and crushes concrete

Metso to expand NW Rapid crushing plant range
