Livestock Water Recycling named one of Canada's fastest growing companies
Livestock Water Recycling has been named as one of Canada's fastest growing technology companies in the 19th annual Deloitte Technology Fast 50™awards for demonstrating bold innovation, dedicated leadership and strong growth. The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program celebrates leaders in the Canadian technology industry and tracks the successful growth of Canadian-grown leaders. LWR ranked 30th with a 415% in revenue growth from 2012 to 2015.

Today, over 590,000,000 million gallons of manure can be treated annually through LWR Systems that are currently installed across North America. Not only are nutrient values maximized, but this method of manure treatment currently results in the potential recovery of over 400 million of gallons of clean, reusable water. Enough water to fill 639 Olympic sized swimming pools, or the equivalent of the annual water consumption of over 13,000 Canadians. And that number rises with every new installation. To qualify for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranking, companies must have been in business for at least four years, have revenues of at least $5 million, be headquartered in Canada, own proprietary technology, conduct research and development activities in Canada and invest a minimum of five percent of gross revenues in R&D.
Traditionally, waste management companies have operated using a simple "management of waste" approach to operating a MRF. Throughput targets and continuous operation (minimal downtime) were the main driving forces. The industry has changed however, and the focus moving forward is now on optimizing system performance and reliability, in conjunction with increasing recycling rates and a drive for a "greener" and more sustainable tomorrow.
When considering the addition of, or upgrade to, an "intelligent" MRF, for municipalities or private operators, the main factors should always be the client's (operator) current requirements, and evolving market needs, which include throughput, reliability, output quality, and adaptability. Equally important is a full understanding of what is really expected from any proposed system. Having an engaged and focused mindset for the project with the client from the beginning, will impact and drive the entire design process. This then impacts the overall project result, through to the productive, efficient, ongoing operation of the facility itself.
