Sennebogen adds Manitoba and New Mexico dealers

Westcon Equipment welcomes Sennebogen to equipment lineup

Sennebogen adds Manitoba and New Mexico dealers

SENNEBOGEN and Westcon Equipment & Rentals Ltd. have joined forces to offer purpose-built material handling equipment to customers in Manitoba. As of March 1, 2012, Westcon is officially SENNEBOGEN’s Manitoba dealer.

It didn’t take long for the SENNEBOGEN Regional Sales Manager to recognize the similarities between these two companies and seize the opportunity to formalize a dealership arrangement with Westcon Equipment & Rentals.

Constantino Lannes, President of SENNEBOGEN LLC understands that synergy is key when choosing a new dealer to join the SENNEBOGEN family.

“As Westcon and SENNEBOGEN are family oriented organizations, both very focused on meeting the needs of their customers, we knew that we had a great fit," he said. "We are very fortunate to have them as part of our team.”

Westcon’s equipment dealership is based in Winnipeg. Partners Brian Brown & Mike Smiegielski are excited at the potential that SENNEBOGEN has to fill a much needed gap in their current equipment line-up.

“Volvo does not offer similar product, so the addition of SENNEBOGEN to our line-up will only compliment an already strong product offering,” said Smiegielski.

Small market, big opportunity
"With a population of 1.2 million and over half of them living in Winnipeg, Westcon has fewer opportunities to capitalize on it. We have to keep an ear to the ground and stay connected to learn about upcoming projects. Having a material-handler as unique and purpose-built as SENNEBOGEN will allow us to participate in every opportunity in the region and will help our customers increase their overall productivity,” said Smiegielski.

According to Brown, “Construction, scrap & recycling as well as rail repair & rail dismantling facilities are the major markets for the SENNEBOGEN material-handlers in Manitoba. With the addition of SENNEBOGEN, we have the flexibility to meet the needs of these markets”.

To support the addition of SENNEBOGEN equipment, the team at Westcon will get extensive in-house training directly from SENNEBOGEN staff experts. So far Smiegielski is impressed by what he has experienced with the support offered by SENNEBOGEN.

“It’s been a short time to develop a relationship but we like what we see in the product and in the people. It’s obvious that this product is customer driven and the team really knows their product. This will help us immensely as we go forward.”

Adobe Truck & Equipment, New Mexico
Sennebogen also recently confirmed that Adobe Truck & Equipment has been named as the manufacturer’s distributor for New Mexico.

“The people at Adobe Truck built excellent credentials as a service organization through many years serving the heavy truck industry," said Constantino Lannes, Sennebogen's President. "Their growth into construction and industrial machinery in recent years has been very well received by customers in the region, so we’re very pleased to have them come on board to support our green line material handlers.”

Jib Felter, President of Adobe Truck & Equipment, reports that his team is already meeting with SENNEBOGEN customers and prospects through Adobe sales and service branch in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“We have several pending orders and we are already selling parts. It has been a great pleasure to work with the management at SENNEBOGEN – they have worked with us to hit the ground running with this product.”

According to Felter, staff from SENNEBOGEN’s training center in Stanley, NC, arrived at Adobe in Albuquerque to start working with their technicians and sales team before the dealership agreement had been finalized.

“SENNEBOGEN really understands the complexities of today’s market; there is no one contract to fit every dealer; no one sales approach to suit every situation. They have shown repeatedly that they are flexible to meet the needs of the customer, and they have worked to “custom create” their relationship with us, too.”

Felter believes the SENNEBOGEN green line material handlers will be a strong fit with other equipment lines Adobe supplies to the recycling industry, including Case loaders and Nissan forklift trucks.

“In our markets, the biggest user of the SENNEBOGEN equipment will be the scrap metal industry. And SENNEBOGEN has positioned itself to lead in that niche. We are excited to begin working with these customers to help meet their needs for high volume material movement,” Felter continues.

“SENNEBOGEN has been gaining popularity because the equipment itself is so focused on the customer’s application. That allows us to be problem solvers for the needs of our customers as it relates to their business. Our approach to customer service and value has been our strength. We provide great value and we will always stand behind our work.”

Adobe is looking ahead to the return of an active logging industry in the region and to assisting biomass processors as future users of SENNEBOGEN machines.

“Today, with a number of new SENNEBOGEN machines already installed in New Mexico, customers can see what the machines can bring to their operation in terms of productivity, ease of maintenance, uptime and profitability,” says Felter.
