Deltaway Energy founder surveys the waste-to-energy landscape

2nd edition book, Waste-to-Energy: Technologies and Project Implementation released

Francois Screve, founder of California-based Deltaway Energy International, Inc., has co-authored a comprehensive resource for waste-to-energy (WTE) field professionals and clients.

The book, Waste-to-Energy, Second Edition: Technologies and Project Implementation, co-authored by Marc Rogoff, PhD, SCS Engineers-Tampa Project Director, is a significant revision of the original edition, published in 1987. Like the original, this edition is published by the science and technology division of international publisher Elsevier.

“There’s never been a more urgent time to understand WTE,” says Screve. “We live in a global environment increasingly focused on more efficient use of resources, reducing landfill volumes, and generating energy in environmentally friendly ways.”

The textbook, available in both clothbound and downloadable Kindle versions, covers the rapidly changing technologies, updates from European and U.S. regulatory agencies, and new management practices.

“We believe it is critical to share information as our still-evolving industry looks for new ways optimize performance and reduce the cost of operations,” says Screve. “That prompted the new edition of this book, and it informs the way we use our website (www.deltawayenergy.com) to talk about best practices and outstanding outcomes.”
