SENTRON LD 8000 Wins Stevie Awards In Two 'Best New Product' Categories In 2014 International Business Awards

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. was named the winner of two Stevie Awards in the 11th Annual International Business Awards for their latest product innovation, SENTRON LD 8000.

The International Business Awards (IBA), with submissions from more than 60 nations and territories worldwide, recognize leaders and innovators, breakthroughs and new technologies. SENTRON LD 8000 has created a whole new performance standard in the natural gas engine oil (NGEO) market. This innovation from Petro-Canada Lubricants has won a Silver Stevie in the category of Best New Product or Service of the Year - Business-to-Business Products, and a Bronze Stevie in the category of Best New Product or Service of the Year - Industrial Products & Services.

SENTRON LD 8000 shatters the accepted drain interval standard by allowing for drain intervals up to 300% longer than the leading global conventional competitor. SENTRON LD 8000 was recently field tested in a new Caterpillar G3516TALE natural gas engine in a gas compression application with pipeline gas quality, under high load (>90%) conditions. The engine was inspected after 8,645 hours of service with its drain interval lasting as long as the durability length of the engine test.

"SENTRON LD 8000 was developed with our customers in mind," says David Dragert, Product Specialist, Research and Development, Core Products, Petro-Canada Lubricants. "We understand the pressures to reduce downtime and maintenance while ensuring the highest standards of engine protection. We're thrilled to be recognized by the IBAs for achieving this with SENTRON LD 8000."

Using SENTRON LD 8000 minimizes wear, leading to reduced downtime and maintenance costs, and helps extend the life of an engine. Testing of SENTRON LD 8000 also shows outstanding deposit control and anti-wear protection. Overall, the result is enhanced reliability, durability and cleanliness that goes beyond today's standards for lubrication.

The International Business Awards are the world's premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to submit nominations. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the awards were presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the Westin Paris - Vendôme Hotel in Paris, France on October 10.

"We congratulate all of the Stevie winners in this year's IBAs," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. "The quality of entries we receive improves every year. This year's judges were rewarded with the opportunity to review more than 3,500 stories of business achievement and innovation from around the world."

Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from May through early August. Details about The International Business Awards and the list of Stevie Award winners are available at www.StevieAwards.com/IBA.
