U.S. Composting Council 20th Annual Show coming up January 17

The U.S. Composting Council's 20th Annual Conference and Trade show is set to take place in Austin, Texas, from January 17-20. The USCC says this years show, titled the "Soil & Water Connection", will offer the most comprehensive program available anywhere on the compost manufacturing industry, including eight workshops, a tour of three area facilities, and speakers on a broad range of industry topics: from core topics for novice composters to advanced presentations for veteran composters and organics professionals.  

Four concurrent tracks will also allow conference attendees to choose from a wide variety of educational and technical presentations by nationally and internationally renowned speakers. The USCC says their Conference hosts the largest trade show in the world for the composting, wood waste & organics recycling industry, including more than 100 equipment manufacturers, product suppliers, service providers and suppliers of compost, anaerobic digestion, and other treatment systems and technologies. The USCC expects more than 1,000 attendees and networking opportunities include an exhibitors reception, Annual Awards luncheon, and the Zero-Waste Reception hosted by the Biodegradable Products Institute.

Plus, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Austin's Zero Waste Plan, an ambitious goal to divert 90% of waste from landfills and incinerators by 2040.  

Additionally, this show includes live equipment demonstrations where attendees can see compost screening, grinding/shredding equipment,turning, bagging, compost application, rolling stock and mixing & blending equipment.

For entertainment, the USCC is providing free evening shuttles to the Sixth Street Music and Dining district on the 18th and 19th.
