Walker Magnetics provides customized drum cleat designs to suit applications in ferrous metal and C&D recycling, as well as in waste-to-energy and MRF facilities. Extra high stainless steel cleats, complete with gussets, are available for applications in ferrous recovery, and Walker’s standard 3/8-inch-thick drum shell is a full 1/8-inch thicker than the industry standard, and ranges up to a robust 5/8-inch-thick manganese steel unit.
These magnets are made in North America and feature a rigid one piece shaft, a stepped bearing race for easier maintenance, and shaft end nipples that allow greasing while in service. Stainless steel side skirts are also available to keep material on the drum for processing, and units come in sizes from 24-inch to 72-inch diameter and widths up to 120 inches (as shown). Permanent or electro versions are available as well as radial pole or axial pole designs
