LFM Harp Wire improves speed in screening

Flex-Mat 3 LFM harp wire, from Montreal-based Major Wire Industries, is designed to help recycle operations improve production, shorten project times and minimize downtime.

High-performance Flex-Mat 3 LFM harp wire is manufactured with straight wires firmly molded into polyurethane strips that hold wires in place at the crown bar. The flexible polyurethane strips keep the wires equally tensioned, creating superior screen vibration when compared to traditional woven wire, harp wire and polyurethane media, causing correctly sized material to fall through faster than conventional screens.

In addition, Flex-Mat 3 LFM harp wire’s long slots (up to 12 inches) provide more open area to increase screen capacity. Major Wire says the result is a reduction in blinding and an increase in production time of a cleaner product. Flex-Mat 3 LFM harp wire can be used on all screen decks, for applications including recycled asphalt pavement and recycled concrete and demolition debris.
