Fabric structures ideal for waste and recycling

According to ClearSpan, fabric structures are rising in popularity for waste management applications, and with good reason. The company says not only are their ClearSpan structures economical and quick to install, but they are also fully engineered and customized to meet unique needs. With frames manufactured from heavy-duty, triple-galvanized structural steel, ClearSpan structures are designed to withstand corrosive environments, and have no interior support columns, allowing for maximum usable space. These features make them ideal for use as recycling buildings, compost covers, salvage yard shelters, waste water decontamination facilities, and more.

ClearSpan says their fabric structures are a superior alternative to wood or steel buildings because they are available in widths up to 300 feet and in virtually any length, yet are less expensive per square foot. These structures also feature high sidewalls and clearances which allow ample room for equipment, including dump trucks and windrow inverters, to enter and exit. Unlike wood or steel buildings, natural light filters through these durable covers, reducing the need for artificial lighting and, therefore, saving on energy costs. These structures also do not require expensive concrete foundations and footings, and can be installed on almost any surface.

Additional money is saved on liability insurance and building permits, as a ClearSpan structure is considered “temporary” by insurance companies and most municipalities. Most ClearSpan fabric structures don’t require a permit to build, do not accrue property taxes, and insurance will be significantly lower due to its unique nature.  ClearSpan
