DRS Series shears feature 360 degree rotation and optimal power-to-weight

Kinshofer’s DRS series of dedicated shears feature 360-degree rotation and an optimal power-to-weight ratio. This robust attachment can be used for a wide variety of jobs including concrete and steel structural demolition, general scrap yard work, conditioning of industrial mixed scrap, and for processing steel-reinforced concrete. With three different mounting options, the DRS line is available in five sizes and is suitable for excavators ranging from 18 to 100 tonnes (39,600 to 220,000 pounds) operating weights.

The DRS-75 model (shown here) is available in three configurations, including two rotating models for mount on dipper or boom, with either a bolt-on or weld-on adapter, and in a non-rotating configuration for mount with a weld-on adapter.

The DRS-75 features working cycles of three seconds (opening) and 2.5 seconds (closing). Jaw openings are 32.9 inches, jaw depth is 28.4 inches, and cutting forces are up to 14,270 kN (1,604 ton-force).  Maximum opening / closing pressure on all DRS series models is 5,500 psi. Other key features include: a powerful cylinder with speed valve (fully protected in a wear-resistant housing), heavy-duty bearings, and an exchangeable, weldable piercing tip. All wear cutting blades can be turned four times and, in the case of material jam, can be loosened from the outside.
