Cayman mobile shears

Cayman mobile shears

The recently introduced Cayman series of Italian-built ZATO shears represents a new standard in mobile shear attachments, according to the product’s North American distributor, Gensco.

The company says ZATO engineers aimed not just to develop an all purpose shear, or to match those already in the market, but to develop a unique new product, like no other shear on the market – uncompromisingly powerful, efficient and fast.

ZATO Cayman shears provide a very high ratio between cutting force and shear weight, and feature specific designs in the jaw apex and moving jaw geometry which provide optimum shearing capacity. The unit’s cylinder is protected within the shear body and features include a large bore cylinder, a fully enclosed, reinforced steel structure designed to eliminate and minimize any side twisting or flexing, and heavy-duty, fully protected main pin components for maximum life and reliability.

Other key features include: an easy to shim slide puck for moving jaw adjustment; a fully wrapped, heavy-duty pivot area; a hydraulic regeneration spool type speed valve for fast cycle times; four-edged usable guide and cutting blades; and a dual guide blade with guide blades on both sides. Additionally, bolt-on piercing tips can be replaced in a few minutes without any welding. Recommended excavator weights are from four to 120 tons.
