The newly introduced Sennebogen 860 M is a 165,000-pound rubber-tired material handler designed for use in heavy-duty lifting applications such as scrap recycling yards, steel works and port facilities. The new 860 model is available as a crawler-mounted “R-HD” model in the 180,000-pound range, as well as in a wide range of optional configurations including rail, barge, gantry and stationary pedestal mounts.
According to Sennebogen, the new 860 M has been designed to out-reach and out-lift similar machines in its size range, and is available with numerous boom and stick configurations. Two cabs are also available with the Sennebogen 860, including a hydraulically elevating cab that adjusts upward and forward. Each of the cab options include a sliding entry door, roof-to-floor front window and extensive guarding.
“We see a greater demand among recyclers who are building around high capacity shredders and higher volume processes,” says Constantino Lannes, Sennebogen’s President.
Powered by a 364-hp, 11-liter Cummins, this machine delivers a generous power profile for extended operating cycles with low fuel consumption. And like other Sennebogen material handlers, these 860 models can be ordered with electric power, and as stationary or tethered units. The swing gear is driven by a closed circuit loop, with independent swing pump piggy-backed on the main pump. Both mobile platforms provide an extra-wide stance, allowing the machines to lift and swing full loads through a 360-degree arc.
Sennebogen also recently introduced a new line of orange peel grapples in four and five-tine configurations, and in sizes from 0.5 to five cubic yards.
