Upcoming Recycling Council of Alberta conference to feature Edmonton Waste Management Centre advanced energy research facility seminar and tour

The Recycling Council of Alberta (RCA) annual waste reduction conference, "Recycling Means Business", will feature an on-site seminar and tour at the Edmonton Waste Management Centre that will provide a detailed look at the Advanced Energy Research Facility. This facility includes a new Integrated Processing and Transfer Facility, as well as a Waste-to-Biofuels Facility, which is currently under construction. According to the RCA, this event is expected to attract solid waste professionals and media from across the nation.

This year's show runs October 5th to 7th, at the Westin Edmonton. The RCA says conference delegates will have the option to attend the seminar and Advanced Energy Tour, as well as other tour options available, including an Overview of the Edmonton Waste Management Centre, Ambleside Eco Station, and local Net Zero Homes. Regular conference programming begins Wednesday afternoon with an opening plenary titled Government Business, and then continues Thursday and Friday with a wide variety of additional topical sessions and speakers.
