These overbelt electromagnets are designed specifically to be suitable for dusty, explosive environments and are particularly suitable for the removal of iron particles from recycling and/or bulk handling material flows such as wood, garbage, refuse derived fuel, hard coal, or cement. These units meet stringent European ATEX Directive requirements and feature conveyor belts which are built extra strong and durable so they will easily capture separated iron particles and then cast them off.
Plus, an auxiliary magnet will ensure the carrying off of separated iron particles from the magnetic field. Electrical connections and wiring on these new electromagnets are all installed in accordance with European directives, bearings are protected and the magnet is completely covered. As an option, units are available with a heat exchanger with a cooling fan so as to be able to control, and also guarantee cooling of the magnet.
