Capable of turning windrows up to 2.1 metres (7 feet) high and 5.5 metres (18 feet) wide, the Wildcat CT718 self-propelled straddle turner is built to perform. These turners are equipped with a 402.7kW (540-hp) Caterpillar C15 Tier 3 engine and feature a large 111.76cm (44-inch) drum.
Units are designed to mix and aerate more material with each rotation, allowing operators to program a constant load for maximum efficiency — up to 4,535.9 metric tonnes (5,000 tons) per hour. A synchronous, poly-belt drum-drive system and heavy-duty construction help deliver long machine life with less maintenance. A climate-controlled cab with fully adjustable suspension seat and joystick controls enhances operator productivity, while a handy trim control knob assists with straight-ahead steering.
Trommel screens
Wildcat also offers a range of trommel screens, including the Cougar 526 and 626 models.
The 626 Cougar trommel screen is a powerful, portable screening plant with the capacity to produce up to 152.9 cubic metres (200 yd3) per hour. These units are equipped with a powerful 125-hp (93.2kW) John Deere 4045 Tier 3 engine, and feature a large throat opening capable of handling bulky material with minimal bridging. Removable side panels along each side of the trommel drum provide easy access for maintenance and cleaning at ground level, and a low hopper infeed height decreases loading cycle times and eliminates the need for loading ramps.
Flashing and shielding on these machines fit tightly against the drum and conveyor, keeping material spillage to a minimum. Tension screens help add strength to the drum panels, allowing for a smaller diameter screen wire and an increased screening area. Closely set, heavy-duty rollers that support the apron conveyor help extend belt life – even under tough loading conditions. Additionally, an optional radial conveyor can rotate 200 degrees, allowing large amounts of material to be stockpiled without moving the screening plant.
The model 516 Cougar trommel screen features many of the same features as the 626, with a 3.82-cubic-metre (5yd3) capacity, a 6.1m (20-foot) conveyor, easy setup, and a 49kW (66-hp) John Deere PE 4024T Tier 3 diesel engine.
