Precision Husky’s new 4042 Drum Chipper is powered by a Cummins 600-hp or Cat C15 engine. These units are designed “without a bunch of bells and whistles,” are very economical to operate, produce more than 75 tons per hour, and are ideal for biomass production operations.
Precision Husky recently shipped their largest Whole Tree Chipper, powered by a 1,050-horsepower diesel engine, along with two diesel-powered Horizontal Grinders to customers in Scandinavia.
“A few years ago you could measure our international business with a fraction of one percent,” stated Bob Smith, chairman and CEO of the corporation. “Today, Precision enjoys approximately 50 percent of its total volume from international sales.” He added that “the international market seems to be coming out of recession faster than the domestic market.”
