Wheel loaders for waste handling and demolition

Four Caterpillar H-Series small wheel loaders – models 924Hz, 924H, 928Hz and 930H – are now available in a waste handling arrangement (WHA). Designed for reliable and productive operation in solid waste handling and demolition applications, the WHA includes special guarding to prevent debris from damaging loader components and from restricting airflow through the cooling system, while maintaining good access for maintenance.

Specifically, each of the H-Series small loaders has axle seal guards and a drive shaft guard, extending from the support bearing to the front axle, to prevent wire and other debris from wrapping around and damaging moving parts. The crankcase guard covers the bottom of the machine from the counterweight to the rear axle, and the power train guard covers the bottom of the engine and transmission as it extends from the rear axle to the hitch. Both the crankcase guard and power train guard are hinged for easy service access, and lights and windows also have guarding to keep debris from damaging lenses and glass.

Other key features of these H-Series machines include: a waste application cooling system with a trash-resistant, radiator, hood and engine enclosure; a hydraulically driven reversible fan; a swing-out fan that allows easy access for radiator service and cleaning when necessary; and a Cat C6.6 engine with ACERT Technology for responsive power and low emissions. A variety of Caterpillar work tools are also available for efficient operation in waste and demolition applications.
