Bale Clamp Grapple introduced
The new Builtrite Bale Clamp Grapple is made to fit material handlers in the 18- to 25-ton range, and is specifically designed to pick and place shrink wrapped, solid waste bales from a baler to a railroad hopper car or truck.
Units feature an opening from 635 mm to 2,159 mm (25 inches to 85 inches), 360-degree continuous rotation using dual rotation motors for high torque capability, and clamps made from a solid steel plate with raised “dimples” to allow for better gripping ability without damaging the bales. Heavy duty, high pressure cylinders are designed for continuous duty use, and a custom designed connecting link fits a multitude of carriers.
