This 1,000-hp Model 3590 whole tree chipper is engineered to transform logging slash, land clearing waste, whole trees and brush into a uniform, saleable chip product very quickly and efficiently. A newly designed discharge system and one-of-a-kind feed system provide for extreme power.
The feed system features a wide 38-inch by 40-inch opening that can accept material up to 30 inches in diameter, and four powerful feed wheels – two vertical wheels on each side and two top feed wheels set on a diagonal. The feed wheels work to effectively crush and compress limby material, guiding it to an oversized drum. Once at the drum, eight 12-inch long knives reduce material into uniform, saleable chips, which are then ejected from the chipper through a high-velocity chip discharge system. This powerful system allows the Model 3590 to quickly pack a 48-foot trailer with valuable mulch, or fuel chips for use in biomass and wood-fired energy operations. The Model 3590 is customizable, and available with time-saving features and options such as an optional high-capacity backhoe-style loader with a roomy operator’s cab, excellent operator visibility, as well as engine options starting from 600-horsepower.
