LSA series aluminum scrap magnets

Winkle “LSA” Series lifting magnets are specifically designed to meet recyclers’ demands for maximizing productivity with lighter and more efficient material handling equipment. These deep field NES, ISS aluminum coil magnets combine rugged fabricated construction with very high lift-to-weight ratios, and true 75 percent duty-cycle ratings designed to keep pace with today’s faster cranes.

Winkle’s high capacity scrap magnets are designed to lift more material per cycle, while running cooler for less maintenance requirements and maximum capacity operation all day long. Durable fabricated cases on the LSA series feature heavy-duty manganese bottom plates and hard-faced pole shoe surfaces to withstand impacts and wear. Plus, terminal boxes contain insulators and lead shields to protect electrical connections, while allowing for quick and easy replacement of damaged leads. Winkle LSA magnets are offered in standard models from 36- to 72-inch diameters and are recommended for scrap handling equipment up to 125,000 pounds.

Winkle also offers their LiftTrax inspection, maintenance and management system, designed to help recyclers extend the life of their magnets by allowing the company to monitor and maintain an operation’s magnet inventory and plan ahead for preventive maintenance and safety.
