Morbark introduces two new mobile grinders

Morbark has added two new mobile grinders to its line-up of wood waste processing equipment – the 1300B Track Tub Grinder and the 3800 Track Wood Hog (shown here). The 1300B Track Tub Grinder combines high mobility, heavy-duty construction and new technology, including 700-mm double grouser shoes, ground pressure of 11 psi, and a ground speed of 2.4 mph. Units use a 330L CAT undercarriage, hydraulic augers, laser-cut hammermill, and production capacity is up to 600 yards per hour, grinding up to 40-inch diameter wood.
The aggressive Model 3800 Track Wood Hog is designed as a low-maintenance machine with a laser-cut, upturn rotor, factory-balanced hammermill with forged hammers, an interplanetary drive, and 320L CAT tracks. "In today's market, track mounted grinders are gaining popularity”, says Todd Gruss, Morbark’s Assistant Sales Manager for the Southeast U.S. “With the addition of the 3800 Wood Hog and the 1300B Tub Grinder, Morbark now offers five models mounted on tracks to fit any application and budget.” The 3800 Track Wood Hog is engineered for processing landclearing debris, yard waste, storm debris and other mixed woody feedstocks into saleable product. A proven drive line protection system protects against catastrophic damage from contaminants, and units include an interplanetary drive with no chains and sprockets, a 320L Cat undercarriage with 600 mm double grouser shoes, and a ground clearance of 17 inches. 3800 Track Wood Hogs feature 400 to 630 hp, and infeed openings are 59-3/4 inches by 38 inches, with an 8-3/4 cubic yard infeed hopper. Both of these new models include a range of optional features, as well as standard features such as Morbark’s Iqan system that automatically adjusts feed rates, monitors pressures and feed wheel position.
