TerraCycle's latest partnership to recycle more than 9.2 million units of contact lens materials

Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, announced today, on Earth Day, that its ONE by ONE Recycling Program, the first contact lens recycling program of its kind, has recycled more than 9.2 million used contact lenses, blister packs and top foils since the program's launch in November 2016. The ONE by ONE Recycling program is offered free of charge to eye care professionals and their patients across the United States and is made possible through a collaboration with TerraCycle®, a world leader in the collection and repurposing of hard-to-recycle post-consumer waste. As of the end of March 2019, the total amount of waste collected and recycled translates to more than 55,200 pounds — roughly the weight of an adult whale shark.

CE certification for TerraCycle's BulbEater3 and 3L bulb crushing systems

TerraCycle's efficient drum-top bulb crushing systems, the BulbEater3 and BulbEater3L, have received CE certification from the European Commission's Directorate-General (DG) for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. Obtaining a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is essential for the sale and distribution of a product in the European Economic Area and other regions. The BulbEater system had to meet the strict standards set forth by European Union Directive 2006/42/EC on Machinery to receive a DoC.

Hasbro teams up with TerraCycle to give toys and games new life

Hasbro, Inc., the global play and entertainment company, recently launched a new toy and game recycling pilot program with TerraCycle, a global leader in product recycling. During the pilot program, consumers can collect and send their well-loved Hasbro toys and games to TerraCycle, who will recycle them into materials that can be used in the construction of play spaces, flower pots, park benches, and other innovative uses.

L’Occitaine in partnership with TerraCycle launches post-consumer packaging recycling program

International recycler TerraCycle is partnering with L'Occitane en Provence, a prestige beauty company offering products for high-quality skincare, body care, and fragrance, providing consumers with a free way to recycle all brands of beauty and skin care packaging. Through the L'Occitane Recycling Program, in partnership with TerraCycle, consumers can now drop off all brands of empty personal care and cosmetics packaging at participating L'Occitane full-price retail locations across the US to divert these items from landfills and receive a 10% discount towards one full-size product purchased that same day. 

​Subaru launches partnership with TerraCycle to divert hard-to-recycle waste

Subaru of America, Inc., has announced a new partnership with TerraCycle to help divert hard-to-recycle waste from landfills and incinerators through the automaker's environmentally-focused philanthropic platform, Subaru Loves the Earth. With less than a quarter of the 230 million tons of trash generated annually in U.S. getting recycled, Subaru and TerraCycle® are teaming up to intercept and repurpose hard to recycle items.
